Ultra Low Profile MCU Sockets
Let's face it: MCU's can be expensive. I've used the same few nice!nano's between at least 5 boards now, and love being able to swap them out with naught but deft fingers at zero extra cost. You can always solder your MCU on with just headers, but it's way safer to just use sockets. This store item includes:
- 2 12-pin sockets
- 24 (plus a few extra) mill max pins
Note: this is for one MCU! Buy 2 of this item for a split (like the Clog).
Uh, second note: You will notice from the product pic that these are chopped on the ends. At the scale I'm operating, I can't get the individual units for cheap, but I can get longer sockets and Edward Scissorhands them. It's how I get them to a good price, but you should know that you'll want to orient them charitably on your board(s).
